About the Speaker: Dr. MiKayla Sanocki is a physical therapist for the School District of River Falls working with students from age 3 to 21. Her passion for learning and the outdoors brought her the unique opportunity to also be one of the coordinators for the district's School Forest. MiKayla has worked in a variety of different settings including sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics, pediatrics, aquatic therapy and in the schools. MiKayla attended Winona State University and earned a degree in Movement Science. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2014.
MiKayla and her husband, Kris Thompson, live in River Falls with their four children. They have a small hobby farm with goats, chickens, ducks and dog "Zizi". They enjoy lots of outdoor activities together - hiking, soccer, geocaching, camping, gardening, biking and kayaking.
