About the Presentation: Stay sharp and active as you age! No need to simply accept the idea that your mental skills–memory, processing speed, etc.–need to decline. Gain an understanding of the critical nature of these critical cognitive skills and how they impact performance and overall quality of life. Many individuals struggle with tasks like remembering grocery lists, phone numbers, names or simply remembering where they left their keys! We discussed the latest theories related to aging and our brain function, saw strategies for strengthening these skills and actually did some fun brain training exercises in the workshop. Participants gained a strong understanding and practical strategies on how to stay sharp as we age.
