Direct Primary Care: Improving Access and Affordability for Medical Care -- Dr. Miller's presentation focused on how the US health care system became broken, why it has become unaffordable for many, and how the complexities of health care have created barrieers between physician and patient, and how direct primary care can address problems for patients. He showed how many DPC clinics are operating in the US, and he provided an overview of what a clinic such as his recently-established Cascade Primary Care can do to benefit both physicians and patients. About the Presenter: Dr Greg Miller was born in La Crosse, WI (down river). Following medical training, he moved to River Falls in 2000 to join the River Falls Medical Clinic, renamed Vibrant Health in 2014. Greg embarked on learning about Direct Primary Care working at Reformedicine in 2022 until 2024. He then completed a deployment to Kuwait and is working on a Mortar Blast Study to hopefully reduce the health risks of shooting off mortars in the future.
His family includes his wife Molly of 27 years; she is a physical therapist with River Valley Physical Therapy and Twin Cities Orthopedics. Molly and Greg have four children with the youngest at UWRF as a Freshman.
