We've set two ambitious goals:  1) Support the holiday Backpack Program as Rotary has always done at the increased level of 142 students, which requires us to contribute $2130, and 2) get the contributions to Our Neighbors' Place on Novemeber 14th.  In case you missed the all-member email, it's available by clicking Read More
River Falls Rotary has for many years supported the Our Neighbors' Place Backpack Program by funding the backpacks that families need over the holiday break in December.  This year the program serves 142 students by providing basic food items; that number is up from 120 students served last year.  At a cost per backpack of $15, the total amount required to support all 142 students is $2130.

We are asking for all members to support this worthwhile project.  And with apologies for the short notice, we have set a goal of having the contributions presented to ONP at the November 14th meeting.  To contribute, make your check payable to Our Neighbors' Place, noting 'Backpack Program' in the memo line.  Cash is welcome as well, and it isn't necessary that your donation is a multiple of $15.  Thanks to Scott's efforts at today's CVTC tour meeting, we have pledges totaling more than half of the goal -- $1435.  But we need contributions from more members to meet this ambitious and necessary goal.

You can get your contribution to Scott Morrissette in any of 3 ways:  you can bring it to the 11/7 or 11/14 meeting, you can send it to PO Box 311 River Falls WI 54022, or you can drop it off either at Terry McKay's office (128 S. Main St with a secure mailbox if no one is in the office) or at FNBRF (Scott's office).  For dropoff, put "ONP Backpack Program" on the envelope.

Thanks in advance for helping our club provide this support to our community.
